What is this?

Proximity voice makes The Isle feel alive. Your voice carries only as far as it would in the world — a herd whispering at a watering hole, a rival roaring across the valley. The server tracks every dino's position and tells your voice client who you should hear and how loud.

🎙 Positional

Volume and stereo direction scale with real in-game distance. Walk closer to hear someone; they fade as you leave.

🛡 Server-authoritative

Positions come from the server, not your game files — nothing to inject, nothing that risks your account.

⚡ Lightweight

A tiny Mumble plugin does the work. Install once and forget it.

Get set up in 4 steps

One-time setup. Takes about two minutes.

  1. Install Mumble
Free voice client. Grab it from mumble.info and run through the setup wizard (the audio wizard defaults are fine).
  2. Install the voice plugin
Download and run our installer — it drops the plugin straight into Mumble.
    ⬇ HypsiProxSetup-v0.1.0-alpha.exe
Then in Mumble: Settings → Plugins → enable “HypsiProx”.
  3. Connect to the voice server
In Mumble, add a server with address mumble.pixelreality.xyz, port 64738. Pick any username and connect.
  4. Join the game & play
Find Hypsi Cult in The Isle's in-game server browser. Once you're both in Mumble and in-game, your voice goes positional automatically.
